DAILY: China import iron ore prices, trading both mixed

China's imported iron ore prices for port stocks dropped again on March 12 after the previous day's rally, with the drop accompanied by a slowdown in trading. In the seaborne market, prices were unchanged, but sales were still active.

On Wednesday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao slipped to Yuan 775/wmt ($107/wmt) FOT and including the 13% VAT, lower by Yuan 4/wmt and completely erasing Tuesday's gain, while Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines was unchanged on day at $101.7/dmt CFR Qingdao. On the Dalian Commodity Exchange, the most-traded
