WEEKLY: Chinese coke producers pare output again

Total metallurgical coke output at the 230 Chinese independent coking plants sampled in Mysteel's regular survey during March 6-12 slid for the fourth straight week by 7,600 tonnes/day on week to average 495,300 t/d, according to the latest survey findings. The slack performance of met coke prices, coupled with the persistent weakness of coke demand from steelmakers, led most domestic coke makers to curb their production further during the survey period, survey respondents said.
