WEEKLY: China's HRC export prices steady amid cautious sentiment

China's export prices for SS400 3mm hot-rolled coil (HRC) held steady last week, with Mysteel's price assessment for the grade staying unchanged on week at $467/tonne FOB from Tianjin port as of March 14, according to Mysteel's weekly market roundup.

Despite steady prices and some buying interest, an overall cautious sentiment still pervaded China's export HRC market, a Chinese steel trader noted, adding that the volatility in the US dollar index last week also seemed to exert pressure on the market.
