China’s Minmetals signs a $4 bln copper contract with KGHM

ABSTRACT

State-owned China Minmetals Group has signed a five-year copper cathode procurement contract with KGHM, formerly known as the Polish State Mining and Metallurgical Combine, according to a release from China’s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
The new frame contract, signed onNovember 6 at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, spans 2019-2023 and is valued at $4 billion, according to a post on KGHM’s official online account on Tuesday.
