Chinese GI exporters worried about Malaysia’s AD duties

Chinese galvanized iron exporters are concerned about new antidumping duties that the Malaysian government has imposed on China- and Vietnam-origin galvanized iron products, as Malaysia is one of the major destinations of these products, market sources shared on Tuesday.
Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry(MITI)announced on November 8 its preliminary determinationon an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of galvanized iron products from China and Vietnam and decided to impose antidumping duties ranging from "-3.33%-16.13%" against these products, effective immediately. MITI confirmed the "-3.33%" antidumping duty, without explaining, though, how it will be adopted in practice.
