China’s Jan-Apr Cu concs imports up 17% on year

China’s total imports of copper concentrates and ores reached some 7.2 million tonnes during this year’s January-April period, higher by 16.7% year on year, according to the latest data from China’s General Administration of Customs published on Wednesday.
Within the total, the volume of copper concs and ores China imported in April alone reached nearly 1.66 million tonnes, down by 110,000 tonnes or 6.2% on month, Mysteel Global calculated based on the Customs data.
