CEC: Capacity for non-fossil electricity to grow in ’19

Electricity generators fuelled by non-fossil energy in China will increase to 840 million kW by the end of 2019, accounting for 42% of the country’s total installed power capacity which is forecast to reach 2 billion kW this year, according to a report by China Electricity Council published on July 26.
If that ratio of
42% is achieved within this year, the country will have more than met the
central government’s target of 39% of installed power capacity fuelled by
non-fossil energy and a year ahead of Beijing’s nominated 2020 deadline,
