BI-WEEKLY: China mills’ iron ore stocks at 6-week low

Stocks of imported iron ore fines at the 64 steelmakers across China regularly monitored by Mysteel declined to a six-week low of 15.3 million tonnes as of October 16, while the average daily consumption of fines at these mills rose to a one-month high of 477,000 tonnes/day as at the same day, according to Mysteel’s latest bi-weekly survey over September 27-October 16.
As of October 16, the inventories of sintering fines at these surveyed mills had continued to dip for a third week or since September 18, thinning by another 258,200 tonnes or 1.7% on week over October 10-16. The stocks of fines are published on a weekly basis in Mysteel’s database.
