China advancing with higher clean energy consumption

China has been shifting steadily towards clean energy consumption, and over January-September, the country’s consumption of clean energy including natural gas, hydro, nuclear solar, and wind power grew 1.2 percentage points on year, according to the latest statistics from the country’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
Over the first three quarters, China’s total energy consumption
grew 3.3% on year, with the increase 0.1 percentage point lower than that for
H1, according to the data, and coal consumption for power generation, went down
1.7 percentage points on year accordingly.
In the first nine months, China’s total power generation rose 3%
