WEEKLY: Aussie, Brazilian iron ore shipments down 10%

Iron ore shipments from Australia and Brazil to global destinations reversed down sharply over November 4-10 to 22.3 million tonnes, 2.45 million tonnes or 10% lower on week, and volumes from both Brazil and Australia subsided, Mysteel’s latest weekly survey showed.
Over the period, Australia shipped 16.1 million tonnes worldwide, which reversed down by 1.3million tonnes or 7.5% on week, among which the volume destined to China reversed down1.45 milliontonnes or 9.4% on week to 13.9million tonnes, with Rio Tinto being the core contributor to the decline.
