Shagang Group, China’s largest privately-owned steelmaker headquartered at Zhangjiagang, East China’s Jiangsu province, has nudged its long steel prices slightly higher for sales over December 1-10, by adding Yuan 50/tonne ($7.1/t) to its rebar, wire rod and bar-in-coil prices from the prior ten days, according to the company’s latest pricing policy released on Saturday.
With the adjustments, Shagang is now offering its HRB400 16-25 dia rebar at Yuan 4,210/t, its HPB300 6-10mm high-speed wire rod for Yuan 4,420/t, and its HRB400 8-10mm bar-in-coil now for Yuan 4,460/t. All three prices are in terms of EXW and include 13% VAT, according to the policy.
