China’s iron ore imports approximated 971 million tonnes over January-November, or down 0.7% on year, according to the latest statistics from the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC) released on December 8.
The decline in the first eleven months was less than the 1.6% year-on-year drop over January-October, as import volume in November grew 5.1% higher on year to about 90.7 million tonnes, though it was still 2.4% lower on month.
