China 2019 gold output dips 2.6%, consumption off 13%

China’s gold supply totalled 500.42 tonnes for full year 2019, posting a decline of 2.6% compared with the total for 2018, according to the latest statistics released by the China Gold Association (CGA) on January 21. Despite the decline, China nonetheless remained the world’s largest gold supplier for a thirteenth consecutive year, CGA said.
