China Steel Corporation (CSC), Taiwan’s top steel producer headquartered in Kaohsiung, South Taiwan, has decided to further cut domestic list prices of its major steel products for sales in June, given the slackening demand for steel under the impact of the COVID-19, a company official confirmed on Tuesday.
For the business in June, prices of
hot-rolled coil and cold-rolled coil have been trimmed by TWD 900/tonne ($30/t)
respectively on month, and those of electrical steel coil and hot-dipped
galvanized coil will be lower by TWD 600/t compared with May levels, according
to CSC’s pricing policy.
