NBS: China’s Apr manufacturing PMI eases to 50.8

China’s Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for the country’s manufacturing industry reversed down 1.2 basis points on month to 50.8 for April, and both production and new orders faced growing challenges, according to the latest release from the country’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on April 30.
After the concentrated resumption of operations among the Chinese manufacturers in March, situation improved further in April, though the month-on-month comparison was not as substantial as in March, Zhao Qinghe, NBS’senior statistician was quoted explaining so in the report. In April, sub-index of production was recorded at 53.7, down 0.4 basis
