Mongolia’s exports of coal of all kinds recovered to 1 million tonnes in April, almost tripling from March though still 73% lower on year, according to the country’s Customs data on May 8, showing the country has been taking cautious steps in resuming its coal exports since late March, according to market sources.
January-April, Mongolia exported around 4.1 million tonnes of coal for all purposes, down 64% on year, and among the total, about 97.1% was sold to China, according to the Customs data. Usually,
