Taiwan CSC’s carbon steel sales drop 11% in April

Carbon steel sales at China Steel Corporation (CSC), Taiwan’s top steel producer headquartered in Kaohsiung, South Taiwan, fell by a significant 10.9% on month in April due to shrinking demand both at home and abroad, a company official confirmed.
For April, the integrated mill’s total sales volume reached 857,500 tonnes, reversing down by 104,592 tonnes from the 16-month high for March, also sliding by 1.6% on year. Within the total, 67% of sales were domestic, 2 percentage points lower compared with the proportion for March, according to the company’s latest monthly report released
