Japan’s Apr crude steel output dives to an 11-year low

Japan’s crude steel production in April hit a new monthly low since May 2009 of 6.62 million tonnes, down by a huge 23.5% year on year, according to the latest data released by the Japan Iron & Steel Federation (JISF) on May 22.
Last month’s crude steel output was also lower by 16.8% from March.
