WEEKLY: Aust., Brazilian iron ore shipments down 3.3%

The total volume of iron ore dispatched to global destinations from the 19 ports and 16 mining companies in Australia and Brazil reversed down over July 27-August 2 after two weeks of rises, falling 3.3% or 815,000 tonnes on week to 23.7 million tonnes, and both the countries posted declines, according to Mysteel’s weekly tracking.
Over the period, Australian iron ore shipments from its ten ports bound for global destinations decreased for a second week by 511,000 tonnes or 3% on week to 16.7 million tonnes, and Brazil shipped 7 million tonnes of iron ore from its nine ports worldwide, which reversed down by 304,000 tonnes or 4.1% on
