CISA: Member mills’ steel output up 1.6% in late July

Daily crude steel output among the 97 member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) continued to rally over the last eleven days of July, up another 34,000 tonnes/day or 1.6% from mid-July to 2.17 million t/d on average, according to CISA’s latest sharing, which was mainly on the anticipation of better demand in August.
Most of the Chinese steel mills have been keen ramp up production, as demand from end-users will probably improve in August now that wet season ended in South and East China.
