China’s Jan-Jul foreign trade drop narrows to 1.7% on year

China’s total foreign trade value in Chinese Yuan still declined 1.7% on year over this year’s first seven months, though the drop narrowed by 1.5 percentage points from the first half of 2020 on the continuing improvement in July, the latest data from China’s General Administration of Customs (GACC) showed.
For July alone, the value of the country’s exports grew 10.4% on year to Yuan 1.69 trillion($243 billion), while that for imports reached Yuan 1.24 trillion, or up 1.6% on year. For the first seven months, the country’s exports dropped 0.9% on year in value to Yuan 9.4 trillion, and
