WSA: Global Jan-Sept steel output drop slows to 3.2%

Crude steel output of the 64 countries under the monthly survey of the World Steel Association (WSA) totalled 1.35 billion tonnes over January-September, down 3.2% on year, with the decline slowing from 4.2% on-year drop over the first eight months, confirming that the global steel market had been gradually shrugging off the impact of the pandemic, according to WSA data.
For September, the world’s crude steel production among the 64 countries totalled
