NBS: China’s Jan-Oct FAI up 1.8%, property up 6.3%

China’s fixed asset investments (FAI) both overall and in the property market specifically, accelerated to last month, growing by 1.8% and 6.3% respectively over January-October, with the former 1 percentage point higher and the latter 0.7 percentage points higher than those for the first nine months, according to the country’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
For October alone, China’s FAI grew 3.2% on month, and in the first ten months of 2020, it totalled Yuan 48.3 trillion ($7.3 trillion), with that from state-owned enterprises up 4.9% on year, while private-sector funding fell 0.7% on year. Over January-October among the major economic sectors, the investment in agriculture grew the fastest, jumping by 17.3%
