NBS: China’s 2020 GDP up 2.3% to about $15.7 trillion

China’s gross domestic product grew 2.3% on year for the whole of 2020, exceeding Yuan 100 trillion ($15.4 trillion) for the first time ever and approximating Yuan 101.6 trillion， and all the key sectors also performed better than excepted, Mysteel Global noted from the latest release by the country’s National Bureau of Statistics.
For last year’s final quarter,
the country’s GDP grew 6.5% on year, or faster than the 4.9% on-year gain for
the July-September quarter, the NBS data showed. Among the key industries, the
tertiary industry contributed the most with Yuan 55.4 trillion, up 2.1% on year
or accounting for 54.5% of the total.
