Japan’s Osaka Steel rolls over Feb section prices

Osaka Steel, Japan’s largest steel sections producer, will keep its list prices of sections unchanged for domestic sales in February, thus giving the market an additional month to absorb the previous price increments, a company official confirmed on January 22.
Osaka Steel, a subsidiary of Nippon Steel, increased its list prices of steel sections by a total of Yen 16,000/tonne ($xx/t) in October and December of 2020 and January, in reaction to the rapid rises in scrap prices, as reported.
