WEEKLY: China’s FeCr and chrome ore prices dip further


Chinese prices of high-carbon ferrochrome (FeCr) and chrome ore continued to edge down last week, as procurement prices for the ferroalloy for April from domestic stainless mills all declined, softening chrome ore prices further, according to Mysteel’s latest weekly survey.
Several domestic stainless producers submitted their buying prices for high-carbon FeCr for this month during the week of March 26-April 2, with all bids showing reductions compared with March. The bid prices, tabled in quick succession by key mills such as TsingshanGroup, China’s top stainless producer, were lower by an average of Yuan 350/tonne ($53.5/t)
