China’s Jan-Apr white goods exports up 46% on year


China’s white goods exports increased 45.9% on year to 1.2 billion units over January-April, with the growth slower than the 56.3% for the first quarter of 2021, according to the latest data from the country’s General Administration of Customs (GACC), as China’s home appliances manufacturers have been under the pressure of soaring raw materials prices.
China’s white goods exports usually include air-conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, TV sets, electric fans, vacuum cleaners and microwave ovens, and for April alone, the volume grew 23.6% on year to 323.8 million units, the data showed. Among the total exports over the first four months, the increases in cleaners and refrigerators
