MYMETAL: China Al prices spiral down, but demand stable


China’s domestic aluminum market saw prices soften over June 3-9, according to the latest survey conducted by Mymetal, Mysteel’s nonferrous metals data collection arm. However, the demand among end-users remained relatively healthy over the period.
As of June 9, the national price of 99.7% aluminum ingot, for example, had eased by Yuan 287/tonne ($45/t) on week to Yuan 18,429/tonne including the 13% VAT, according to Mymetal’s assessment.
