Various changes in China’s auto sales and manufacturing in May suggested that the country’s auto consumption especially for passenger cars had returned to the pre-pandemic normal level, though new-energy vehicles (NEVs) had continued with its healthy growths, refreshing its monthly records in both production and sales, China Association of Automobile Manufacturer (CAAM) highlighted at its press conference on June 11.
