WEEKLY: China’s steel export prices fall for 5th week


Chinese steel export prices continued to move down for the fifth week last week and export trade remained inactive as buyers held back on concerns about possible steel export tax adjustments, Mysteel’s latest weekly report shows.
As of June 18, Mysteel’s export price assessment of SS400 4.75mm hot-rolled coil (HRC) was $916/tonne FOB from North China’s Tianjin port, down by another $7/t on week. “Some North China mills are still defending their offers at around $920/t FOB and are tending to ask buyers to shoulder all increments
