More steel mills curb production ahead of CPC centenary


More steel producers in North and East China have been imposed on restrictive measures on their daily production for pollution control during the celebration of the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on July 1.
Steel mills in North China’s Shanxi province, also a major steel producing hub neighbouring Hebei and Beijing have been notified via phone calls from the local authorities since 26 to stop sintering and pelleting, bank blast furnaces, and to lower the capacity utilization of their converters over June 28-July 1
