NBS: China’s July manufacturing PMI eases to 50.4


China’s Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for the domestic manufacturing industry had been inching down since April, and by July, the index slipped by another 0.5 basis point on month to 50.4, though it had been hovering in the expansion zone for 17 months, according to the latest release from the country’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 31.
