China’s nonferrous sector performs strongly in H1


China’s nonferrous metals sector performed solidly during the first half of this year with the business operations of most enterprises in the sector improving, Jia Mingxing, vice president and secretary-general of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, shared at a press conference on August 3.
During this year’s first half, the gross profits of the domestic nonferrous industry reached an all-time high, with the value among the sizable nonferrous enterprises totalling nearly Yuan 164 billion ($25.4 billion), up 2.2 times on year, according to the official data. Last year’s data was skewed by the coronavirus which impacted the Chinese economy
