NBS: China’s Jan-Jul FAI up 10.3%, property up 12.7%


Over January-July, China’s fixed asset investment (FAI) increased 10.3% on year to about Yuan 30.3 trillion ($4.7 trillion), and among the total, the funding in the property market grew 12.7% on year to Yuan 8.5 trillion, both posting slower growths than in the first half of 2021, Mysteel Global noted from the data released by the country’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on August 16.
The growth for FAI in the first seven months of 2021 was slower than 12.6% on-year increase for the first half of 2021, though it was 1.6 percentage points higher than two years ago, and among the total, the funding from the privately-owned enterprisesremained the dominant contributor, accounting for 57.3%
