Over January-July, China’s production of the four most popular home appliances grew on year, though at the slower pace of 0.2-29%, as against the 5.6-33.5% on-year rise during the January-June period, the latest data released by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on August 19 show. The seven-month average was dragged down by a poor July, Mysteel Global noted.
Among the four products, output of air-conditioners increased by 17.3% on year to 137.7 million units in the first seven months, among which 28.9% were exported, or up 13.1% on year, Mysteel Global calculated based on the official data.
