Rises seen in SHFE copper, aluminum and nickel prices


The most-traded copper, aluminum and nickel contracts on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) all closed higher on week when the daytime trading session ended on August 27, according to the exchange data, and their price movements were largely in accordance with trajectories of these metals on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
On August 27, SHFE’s copper October contract jumped by Yuan 2,540/tonne ($392/t) from the prior Friday’s settlement price to close the daytime trading session at Yuan 69,130/t. Meanwhile, the SHFE’s nickel October contract leapt by Yuan 2,490/t on week to close at Yuan 141,840/t, and the aluminum contract also for October
