SHFE copper, aluminum and nickel prices up further


The most-traded copper, aluminum and nickel contracts on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) had continued to rise on week when the daytime trading session ended on September 3, the exchange’s data showed. Prices of these metals on the London Metal Exchange (LME) showed a similar movement.
On September 3, SHFE’s copper contract for October rose by Yuan 220/tonne ($34/t) from the previous Friday’s settlement price to close the daytime trading session at Yuan 69,090/t. The exchange’s aluminum contract for October delivery jumped by Yuan 570/t during the period to close at Yuan 21,255/t. Meanwhile, SHFE’s nickel contract
