CISA: Members’ late Aug daily steel output down 4%

ABSTRACT

Over August 21-31, daily crude steel output among the member mills of the China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) reversed down from the prior ten days, slipping by 4% or 85,200 tonnes/day to 2.05 million t/d on average, according to the association’s sharing on September 4, as more steel mills reined in output in accordance with Beijing’s call for lower steel production in 2021.
