SHFE Cu, Al and Ni prices continue to rise


The most-traded copper, aluminum and nickel contracts on the Shanghai Futures Exchange all showed steady on-week gains when the daytime trading session ended on September 10, SHFE statistics show. The rises were also in tandem with the movements of these metals’ prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
SHFE’s copper October contract jumped by Yuan 950/tonne ($147.3/t) from the previous Friday’s settlement price to close the daytime trading session of September 10 at Yuan 70,080/t. Similarly, the aluminum contract for October swelled by Yuan 1,375/t over the same period to close at Yuan 22,670/t. Simultaneously, SHFE’s nickel October contract
