Japan’s core machinery orders up 1% in July


Japan’s core machinery orders from domestic users excluding shipbuilders and power equipment makers improved by 0.9% on month in value to Yen 859.7 billion ($7.86 billion), according to a release by the Japanese government’s Cabinet Office on September 15.
The July result followed the decline of 1.5% in June, after three consecutive monthly rises since March, leading the Japanese government to decide against changing its keynote remark. This remains at ‘orders are showing signs of picking up’. The survey, conducted monthly among 280 major machinery manufacturers across Japan, is viewed by the Japanese government
