Japan Osaka Steel’s monthly section price flat for Oct


Osaka Steel, Japan’s largest steel sections producer and a subsidiary of Nippon Steel, has decided to pause from monthly price rises for its products in October for domestic sales so as to give the spot market one month to digest the previous price rises, a company official shared on September 29.
“We have decided to roll over our sales prices for October, even though power charge and alloy prices are expected to rise in the second half of fiscal 2021 (October-March 2022) and scrap prices have been hovering high, and we will have to raise our prices afterwards,” he warned.
