NBS: China’s CPI up 0.6%, PPI up 6.7% until September


Over January-September, China’s Producer Price Index (PPI) gained pace further, up 6.7% on year, though it did not lead to a higher rise in Consumer Price Index (CPI), as the latter grew by just 0.6% on year, or the same as in the first eight months, according to the data released by the country’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 14.
“In September, China’s consumer goods fundamentals had been rather stable and related prices had also been steady,” Dong Lijuan, senior statistician of NBS was quoted analyzing the data, highlighting that for September alone, the country’s CPI were flat on month or up 0.7% on year against the 0.6% on-year rise
