Japan's Osaka Steel section prices flat on month for Dec


Osaka Steel, Japan's largest steel section producer, will remain its steel sections list prices unchanged on month for December domestic sales despite rising input costs, as the spot market may need some time to digest its previous price increments, a company official shared on November 26.
"Scrap prices have softened slightly but other input costs have been up, so we should have raised our prices, but we have decided to wait for another month," he explained. Osaka Steel, a subsidiary of Nippon Steel in western Japan, increased its sections price by Yen 23,000/tonne ($202/t) in total
