WEEKLY: Sluggish demand drags down China FeSi prices


Chinese ferrosilicon prices declined for the fourth consecutive week as of December 24, with sluggish demand from steelmakers causing FeSi prices to soften, according to Mysteel's survey.
As of December 24, the price of 75% grade FeSi assessed by Mysteel was at a six-month low of Yuan 8,213/tonne ($1,289/t) including the 13% VAT, lower by Yuan 31/t on week. As of the same day, the most-traded FeSi futures contract on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange for May 2022
