JFE Steel lifts 400-series flats prices by $87/t for Mar


JFE Steel, Japan's second-largest integrated mill and No.2 stainless producer, has decided to add Yen 10,000/tonne ($87/t) to its domestic prices of 400-series stainless flats for both spot and long-term sales in March, mainly to transfer rising raw material, auxiliary material prices and other input costs, a company official confirmed.
JFE's price adjustment applies to its hot-rolled (HR) and cold-rolled (CR) coils and sheets, and with the latest adjustment, the total increment since April 2021 has reached Yen 75,000/t, Mysteel Global noted.   JFE does not disclose its exact list prices, but as of March 2, SUS430 2mm thick CR cut sheets
