BREAKING: China to suspend coal import tax from May 1


China will temporarily suspend import tariffs for coal from May 1 2022 to March 31 2023, to help guarantee the country's energy supplies and to further promote the high-quality development of domestic coal industry, the Ministry of Finance stated in an announcement on April 28.
China's current tariffs for all seven coal products including anthracite, coal, coking coal, briquettes and lignite range from 3% to 6%.
