ABSTRACT

Over April 25-May 1, iron ore shipments dispatched to global destinations from the 19 ports and 16 mining companies in Australia and Brazil under Mysteel's survey reversed by 2.9 million tonnes or 12.7% on week from last week's fall to 25.9 million tonnes, as both countries posted growths in their ore shipments.
The surveyed was delayed until May 5 due to China's Labour Day holiday over April 30-May 4. Over the latest survey period, Australian iron ore shipments from its 10 ports bound for global destinations rose to 18 million tonnes, up by 1.2 million tonnes or 6.9% on week after the
