China FeCr prices weakening on supply-demand mismatch


Chinese prices of high-carbon ferrochrome (FeCr) continue to lose ground, undermined by weak demand for the ferroalloy from domestic stainless mills when the overall supply of FeCr products has increased, Mysteel's latest survey indicated.
As of May 25, the spot price of FeCr with 55% Cr content in North China's Inner Mongolia, the key reference price in the country's FeCr market, had decreased for the second straight week by another Yuan 100/tonne ($14.8/t) on week to Yuan 9,600/t EXW and including the 13% VAT,
