WEEKLY: China's domestic iron ore conc prices firm


Bullish sentiment prompted Chinese iron ore mining companies to raise their offering prices for domestic concentrates by Yuan 5-20/tonne ($0.8-3/t) over May 30-June 2, with some steel mills agreeing to pay more to buy these concentrates, according to market sources. However, ore demand overall among most mills was still dull.
For example, as of June 2 – the last working day before the Dragon Boat Festival holiday over June 3-5 – the offering price of 66% Fe grade domestic iron ore concentrates in Tangshan in North China's Hebei had increased to Yuan 1,119/dmt EXW and including the 13% VAT, recovering
