China’s Wu’an intensifying sintering curbing in August

Wu’an city, a major production base of wire rod and medium plate in North China’s Hebei province, has decided to intensified its restrictions on local steel mills’ sintering capacities, one of the key polluting sources in the steel industry, throughout August, Mysteel Global confirmed with market sources.
With the latest efforts, the Wu’an city government imposed additional 10%, 15%, or 20% curbing on the sintering capacities of 14 local integrated steel producers in accordance with their locations, according to a government notice released at the end of July.
